With clear skies, little breeze, temperatures reaching 22oC and drinks stations running dry, Craig Johnson sprinted home to achieve a personal best in the 2009 Edinburgh Marathon on 31st May.
Craig said "Given the sweltering conditions and poor en-route organisation, I'm happy with my pb of 4:09:33, which is an improvement of 20 minutes. The magic sub-4 eluded me this time, but I'm sure that fourth time will be a charm!". Craig is now training for the Leicester Marathon in October.
